One of the richest countries on earth, the economy os the UAE is the 5th largest in the Middle East.
With a gross domestic product of $501 billion dollars in 2022, the country is currently home to only 45 billionaires, many of them within the ruling royal family.
UAE’s billionaires currently own an estimated $180 billion in wealth and 4,000 millionaires are expected to migrate to the country in 2022.
Ranked 15th in the list of countries with the highest number of billionaires, Dubai is ranked 11th among top global cities for wealth and is full of United Arab Emirates Billionaires.
10 – Property Empire
A rather controversial figure in British Politics at least, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is one of the most familiar faces in the United Arab Emirates.
The current ruler of Dubai, his net worth of over $4 billion dollars has allowed him to build a vast property empire both at home and overseas totalling more than $14 billion.
His massive property empire includes a £13 million purchase of Woodhay in Surrey, the £75 million Longcross House, also in Surrey and Dalham Hall, located in Suffolk that was purchased in 2009 for £45 million.
His purchase of a vast estate in Wester Ross, Scotland raised eyebrows when he spent a fortune on the 63,000-acre estate that has 14 bedrooms and room for three helicopters.
He is rumored to have purchased a £17.3 million home in Eaton Square in Belgravia. London in 2013 and he also bought Moulton Paddocks near Newmarket, part of his prestigious horseracing empire.
Thought to be one of the largest landowners in the UK, his assets cover over 100,000 acres and he is also thought to own properties in Rome.
More recently, he created the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid City, a new development in Dubai that has many 7-bedroom homes worth $24.5 million each.
You can expect him to own many more homes around the world, most of course, are kept strictly secret.
9 – Car Collection
Considered to be one of, if not the largest private collection of cars on the entire planet, Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan is known as The Rainbow Sheikh.
A member of the Emirates royal family who owns pyramid-shaped structure built especially to display his car collection, Nahyan holds world records for a number of his insane vehicles.
These include the world’s largest Hummer SUV with a height of 6.6 meters, a giant globe car that is one-millionth the size of planet Earth, and has one of the largest trucks in the world.
The Rainbow Sheikh’s family has a sovereign wealth fund worth $830 billion and he spends his share with an enthusiasm for everything that has wheels including seven Mercedes-Benz S-Class cars with one in each color for each day of the week.
So large is this collection that the building its housed in requires its own power plant and while it is open to the public on occasions, security is always tight.
His collection includes a whole host of classic cars including Viper’s, Thunderbird’s and the 1998 Endurance.
He owns the Rolls used by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1979, a Diamond T, a re-bodied modern F-250 and some extremely old Land Rovers.
You will find pretty much every Mercedes Benz car in the collection and he even owns the Lamborghini LM002, the first SUV ever made by the Italian car company.
Overall his collection includes close to 500 cars thought to be worth close to a billion dollars and makes him one of the richest United Arab Emirates Billionaires.
8 – Boeing 777-200LR Private Jet
Second son of the late King Fahd of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammad bin Fahd was born in 1950 and is the current minister of state for the UAE.
Being the minister of state for the entire country means he needs to get about, and what better way to travel than a private $320 million dollar Boeing 777-200LR Private Jet.
The jets registration number, VP-CAL, often gives it away at various airports and so secret is this plane that absolutely no interior photos exist.
The plane is covered with a grey and white livery, has a top speed of Mach 0.84, or 644 mph and can hold up to 426 passengers in normal configuration.
So what can you expect to find on Prince Mohammad bin Fahd’s jet? Well, expect at least one private bedroom, a conference room, private office, bathroom with private shower and security area.
The 777 has one of the longest ranges on earth coming in at 15,843 km and is powered by two General Electric GE90 engines.
You can bet that the interior of this plane has been completely re-designed from its original custom look!
7 – Azzam Yacht
Azzam is so large it once stood as the world’s largest private yacht for over six years after her launch in April 2013.
Never seeking size as the ultimate goal, her owner, Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan died earlier this year and was the second president of the United Arab Emirates.
Designed and built by Lürssen, the 180m superyacht Azzam features an open plan main saloon, accommodation for 36 guests and up to 80 crew while engine systems can achieve a complex ‘dual mode’.
The interior of the yacht, as with several others on this list is considered a closely guarded secret that took more than 4,000 people four years to build.
Said to have cost around $500 million dollars, she is one of the worlds fastest yachts at her top speed of 33 knots.
Rumoured features include a special golf training room, onboard gym, interior and exterior swimming pools and a bar/relaxation area.
Noise reduction has been well integrated into the design and at full speed, it is reported that the chandelier doesn’t even rattle.
This yacht actually features so much mother of pearl on the interior that it equates to a years worth of world-wide supply for United Arab Emirates Billionaires.
6 – Custom Boeing 747 Private Jets
Being both Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates comes with its benefits and this, of course includes air travel.
Sheikh Mohammed owns a fleet of private Boeing 747 jets that come complete with on-board bathrooms, luxurious conference facilities and one rumored to have its own throne room.
One plane is thought to be completely covered in gold, including gold carpets, gold chairs, gold taps, gold lighting, gold tables, gold televisions and even gold cutlery.
Complete with bedrooms, kitchens, a security area for on-board bodyguards and sleeping areas for staff, just one of these incredible aircraft is thought to have cost him around $233 million dollars.
5 – Yacht Blue
Another large yacht, this time belonging to Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Yacht Blue was built in Germany by Lurssen and delivered in 2022.
Powered by four diesel electric engines, she is one of Lurssen’s newest builds and was designed by Terence Disdale, who also designed the interior.
Although numbers have never been revealed, estimates on guest numbers include at least 48 guests in 24 staterooms and a crew and staff of 80 in 40 cabins.
No interior photos have ever been released but features on-board include a dancefloor, steam room, sauna, beauty salon and elevator.
Other features are reported to include underwater lights, satellite communications, beach club, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.
4 – Shadwell Court
Dating originally from the 18th century, this large country estate is located in Brettenham, Norfolk, England and once belonged to Hamdan bin Rashid al Maktoum.
Shadwell Court is a Grade I listed building and the estate features a stables, brewery, game larder and large fountain while another £1.6 million was spent by the Al Maktoum family on restorations.
Despite this, allegations of neglect have been mentioned in the british press, a claim which has been denied by the Al Maktoum family.
The grounds contain a grotto, constructed around a mediaeval well dedicated to St Chad from which the estate derives its name.
The main building has three storeys on some fronts while featuring four storeys on others that feature stained glass, an organ and a timber roof.
In 2019 the court was included in the Heritage at Risk Register due to concerns over the deterioration of its fabric and has not been lived in since the 1990’s by any United Arab Emirates Billionaires.
3 – Yacht Yas
Launched in 2011 and delivered in 2015, Yas is 463 ft in length and is one of the largest motor yachts in the world.
The current play-toy of Hamdan bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Yas has been outfitted by Greenline Yacht Interiors and can accommodate 60 guests and 56 crew.
Powered by two MTU 10,500hp diesel engines her maximum top speed is speed of 30 knots while she can accomplish a comfortable cruising speed of 22 knots.
The yacht has one of the most modern and technologically advanced interiors of any yacht sailing today and features include a spa, beauty salon and glass elevators.
Originally a military yacht, she was re-designed into a dolphin inspired mega-yacht with helicopter deck, owner’s suite, large gym, large glass dome at the front and state-of-the-art entertainment system.
The original price for yas is thought to have cost anywhere from $180 million dollars, and now, after the re-fit, its closer to $200 million dollars.
2 – Abu Dhabi Palace
Owned by the current Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Palace is a large complex is situated close to Al Bateen Palace, home of his brother, ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Having been totally re-built in the last five years, Qasr al Watan as it has now become known was only completed in 2017 and has been opened to the public since 2019.
Originally used only for official purposes, including hosting foreign leaders of states and meetings of the country’s supreme council and federal cabinet, it was named among the top 20 landmarks of art and culture in the World.
The exterior of the large palace is made from white granite and limestone while it also includes a large dome with a diameter of 121 ft.
The great hall is surrounded by two separate wings and also includes a library with more than 50,000 books that is known as the house of knowledge.
A chandelier with 350,000 pieces of crystal hangs from one of the main rooms while a room known as the “Spirit of Collaboration” hosts banquets for official events and a vault with diplomatic gifts is also kept here.
Named by the travel and tourism website of Hotel and Rest among the top 20 landmarks of art and culture in the World, Palace was nominated for the World Travel Awards as a main attraction in the middle east.

One of the world’s largest private super-yachts, Serene is owned by one of the worlds richest men, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who has an estimated net worth of close to $18 Billion dollars and one of the United Arab Emirates Billionaires.
Design by Reymond Langton Design, she was delivered in 2011 and features an overall length of 439 feet 4 inches.
Originally built for Russian vodka tycoon Yuri Shefler for $330 million, she was later purchased by the crown prince for €500 million in 2014.
The yacht can comfortably accommodate up to 24 guests in 12 suites and also has access to one VIP cabin.
She is capable of carrying up to 62 crew onboard, is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and is powered by eight diesel-electric MTU 16-cylinder engines with a maximum speed of 25 knots.
Features include a dancefloor, steam room, wheelchair accessibility, sauna, beauty salon, elevator, satellite communications, beach club, gym, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and full air conditioning.
Her water tanks store around 145,000 Litres of fresh water, has advanced stabilisation system on board and comes with a range of up to 6,000 nautical miles.
While not currently available for charter, its been reported that Bill Gates once chartered the yacht for $5 million per week.
